The short version

Peptide Testimonials is not a store, and nothing on this site is a customer review. "Testimonials" in the name points at something narrower: what people in research-use communities say happened when they used a compound, set directly next to what a controlled study actually measured. Those are two different kinds of information, and treating them as interchangeable is how a lot of peptide marketing goes wrong.

A research peptide is a short chain of amino acids — the same building blocks every protein in the body is made from — that scientists study for a specific biological effect. Some peptides, like semaglutide, have gone all the way through clinical trials and become approved medicines taken by millions. Others, like KPV, have never been tested in a single human trial; everything known about them comes from mice and lab dishes. This site covers four peptides that sit at very different points on that spectrum — GHK-Cu, KPV, semaglutide, and tirzepatide — and says plainly which is which. Nothing here recommends a dose, a use, or a course of action for any person.

The gap this site exists to close

Every peptide covered here has two separate records. One is the published record: peer-reviewed trials, mechanistic studies, and safety reviews — things that were measured, reported with real numbers, and can be checked against a citation. The other is the community record: what people in research and patient forums say they noticed, good and bad, entirely unverified and never a substitute for the first kind.

The two records rarely line up cleanly. Semaglutide has the deepest published record of anything on this desk — tens of thousands of trial participants across half a dozen major trials — and also one of the largest bodies of user-reported experience anywhere in peptide research, simply because it is an approved drug taken by millions of people. KPV sits at the opposite extreme: no human trials exist at all, so there is effectively no honest community record to report either, whatever chatter turns up in a search. GHK-Cu falls in between — decent small human skin trials, next to online claims that run considerably ahead of what those trials actually showed. Every compound page on this site draws that line explicitly: what the studies show, in one section, and what people report, in another, clearly labeled anecdotal, not clinical evidence.

What are research peptides?

The four compounds here cover three genuinely different categories, and lumping them together is part of why the marketing around peptides gets muddled. GHK-Cu is a copper-binding tripeptide, originally identified in human plasma and used almost entirely as a topical cosmetic ingredient. KPV is a melanocortin-derived anti-inflammatory tripeptide, studied only in cell culture and animal models of gut inflammation, with no approved use anywhere. Semaglutide and tirzepatide are both GLP-1-pathway receptor agonists — synthetic peptides engineered to resist rapid breakdown so they can be dosed weekly — and both are FDA-approved prescription medicines with large randomized trial programs behind them.

Regulatory status varies just as sharply. Topical Copper Tripeptide-1 (GHK-Cu) is a legal cosmetic ingredient; injecting or otherwise taking it systemically is unapproved and unstudied in humans. KPV is sold only as a laboratory research chemical, with no dietary-supplement or drug status in any major jurisdiction. Semaglutide and tirzepatide are approved prescription medicines available only through a licensed provider.
